Overview

This Safari has been designed special for those who love Game viewing safaris and wildlife encounters. This safari starts far north east of the country in Uganda’s isolated Park Kidepo Valley National Park for game viewing with a variety of wildlife population and a beautiful scenery of the park and the Moroto mountain with a continuation of the safari experience to the biggest national park in the country, Murchison falls national park and later transferred to Queen Elizabeth National park for another wilderness safari experience and then later for Gorilla trekking in Bwindi via Ishasha sector for the tree climbing lions.

The trip has a day’s relaxation on lake Bunyonyi (lake of many birds) with a breath-taking boat cruise along the deepest freshwater lake in Uganda. On this trip you get to have a farm experience on Emburara Farm lodge and have a day with the magnificent Ankole long-horned cattle as well as a cultural experience of Ankole culture at Igongo Cultural Centre.

The safari experience ends with game viewing in Lake Mburo National Park, the smallest savannah park in the country. You’ll enjoy a boat cruise on the Lake as well as a horseback ride within the Park for Game viewing.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe airport and transfer to Kidepo valley national Park.

After your morning breakfast, you’ll meet your guide and have a briefing about the whole trip and after that you’ll be transferred to Kidepo valley national Park by Road

OR

via Kajjansi Airfield for a flight to Kidepo valley National Park. Here upon arrival, you’ll meet your tour Guide for the entire trip who will brief you on your upcoming safari and the entire trip. Have an afternoon game drive for game viewing.

Dinner and Overnight at Apoka Safari Lodge.

Day 2: Game drive at Kidepo valley national park

Have an early morning game drive where you’ll see a number of wild animals including the lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants among others.

Day 3: Transfer to Murchison falls National Park

After breakfast you’ll be transferred to Murchison falls National Park, the biggest conservation area in Uganda. Enjoy the great scenes of the Top of the most powerful waterfalls in the world with a great view of the sunset reflecting on the Nile.

Day 4: Game drive through the nature savannah plains of Murchison

Have an early morning game drive through the nature savannah plains of Murchison where you’ll have wildlife encounters. After the game drives, have an early lunch and head out for the afternoon boat cruise along the Nile to the bottom of the Murchison and Uhuru waterfalls. You’ll be able to view hippos and elephants as well as the Nile crocodiles along the banks of River Nile.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After having your early morning breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park in Kasese western Uganda. Have an evening relaxation and if on time enjoy the evening game drive.

Day 6: Morning Game drive and Afternoon Kazinga Channel Boat cruise.

Wake up to the sounds of morning singing birds in the wild. Have an early morning game drive in The Park and have a wildlife encounter. After return to the lodge for an early lunch and head out for the afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel which joins Lake Edward and Lake George. You’ll see a lot of animals on the banks as well as swimming hippos and bathing elephants, crocodiles as well as water

Day 7: Morning game drive – transfer to BINP

After your breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for an encounter with the magnificent Gorillas with a stopover in Ishasha sector for the tree climbing lions and later continue with your route to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Day 8: Hike to the forest to trek the Magnificent Mountain Gorillas

Set off Early for an early morning briefing at the park headquarters. Here you’ll be briefed and grouped into a group of 8 people and allocated guides and porters for the hike to the forest to trek the Magnificent Mountain Gorillas. In the afternoon you’ll have a community walk.

Day 9: Relaxation at Lake Bunyonyi and a boat cruise

After having breakfast, set off for aday relaxation at Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale. Here you’ll have a boat cruise and tour most of the numerous islands on Lake Bunyonyi and the scenes of the beautiful terraces along the shores of the lake.

Day 10: Transfer to Mbarara for a farm experience

Transfer to Mbarara for a farm experience at Emburara farm lodge where you will be able to see the Ankole long-horned cattle which represents the culture of Ankole kingdom and the guide will tell you more stories about the Ankole long-horned cattle and the culture associated to it.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast you will be transferred to lake Mburo National Park which is the smallest national park in Uganda. On your journey you will have a stopover at Igongo cultural centre, visit the museum, tour the Nkwanzi crafts, and the bookshop. Enjoy your delicious meal prepared by professional chefs and afterwards Proceed your journey to lake Mburo National Park, enjoy a Game drive and boat cruise as well as Horseback drive which will give a clear view of the park plus many animals including Impalas, zebras, antelopes and some different bird species.

Day 12: Transfer to Kampala.

After breakfast, set off to Kampala, have a stopover at Equator line in Kayabwe take pictures, enjoy the climate as well as shopping and visiting local market around, afterwards proceed your journey to Kampala you can decide to have a city tour or proceed to Entebbe Airport depending on your decision and next destination.
